About West Potomac Academy Communication & Arts

This event is sure to be a success for all involved. Design is everywhere! Its all around us, for some its a job but for most it a passion.
You are invited to participate in the West Potomac Academy
“CREATIVE SCOOP” MINI DESIGN CONFERENCE. The design conference is where professionals from industry discuss their careers or showcase their creations to educate and inspire students and members of the community.
The 1st Annual Conference will be held February 10, 2009 at 6:30 PM in the West Potomac Academy Auditorium. It will feature careers in the fashion and entertainment arts including presentations in art, music, culinary arts, make-up and hair, jewelry and accessories, fashion apparel, costume design, film/television, graphic design and digital animation. In addition to the presentations, there will be a variety of exhibitors available to interact with the students to provide them with information about employment opportunities, internships, post secondary education, finances, marketing and other resources to support their careers.
The West Potomac Academy Fine Arts Division consist of the following programs, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Television Production, Dance, and Music Techonolgy. We are a group of indivduals who create and inspire, while building the future to today's creative industries. These courses allow the student to learn about these industries while still in high school, helping them to both find their passion and career path early on, or to help them avoid a costly tuition mistake for a career they have decided is not for them.
